Jessica Stuart Trio @ Black Swan Tavern

Black Swan Tavern, Toronto, ON

3 sets of musically adventurous originals, unexpected covers peppered with big, wanky guitar solos and rhythmic musical interplay.

Jessica Stuart is a sought-after pro guitarist and vocalist with credits from Mirvish Productions’ SIX to Classic Albums Live to Idioteque, and beyond. Born in Vancouver and based in Toronto, Stuart is also the subject and composer of CBC’s most-viewed documentary of all time, Finding Fukue (2018, 15M+ views, featuring Stuart's musical soundtrack), and has been featured on stages, television and radio programs around the world. As a unique and prolific songwriter and artist, Jessica has had a Top 40 single in Japan, won an Independent Music Award for Best Album, and had five songs in the Canadian Songwriting Competition finals.

When not flexing the side-person muscle, Stuart loves to put her chops and her signature prog-indie-jazz-pop tunes in the spotlight when playing trio with killer rhythm section, Mike Shapinko (bass) and Vince Reel (drums).
