Warm Happenings For Chilly Times in Ontario ❄️

Seems we could all use some good times and human connection to make it through these ‘not-suitable-for-human’ temperatures here in Toronto, so I wanted to share a few special things going on in the coming weeks, and hope to see you there. 😌

• Wed, Feb 11 - Jessica Stuart Trio Live @ Drom Taberna, 8:30-10:30
  Myself, Mike Shapinko & Vince Reel will do two sets of electric guitar trio - adventurous, yet catchy originals, unexpected covers & pwyc

• Winterfolk Roots & Blues Festival 2026 @ TRANZAC, Feb 12-15
  Excited to be playing a solo acoustic set on the Main Hall stage, but also very proud to be presenting seven artists on Winterfolk's Emerging Artists' Night as the ‘Best Of’ my Rose & Crown Open Stage! I also will be participating in three workshops at the festival - Guitar Improvisation, Fingerstyle Guitar & Japanese Folks Songs.  Click HERE or on image below for festival info and schedule

• Sat, Feb 21 - JS Presents! Ep. 66 ft. JUNO nominee Alex Samaras
  66 episodes deep into my monthly songwriters' series at the TRANZAC Club, and I'm deeply honoured to present musical marvel Alex Samaras. The series is a listening room, 5-7pm, pared down with stories from behind each artists' original songs, and requires at least one world premiere song per artist per show, so is a quite one-of-a-kind event.

• Idioteque (killer Radiohead tribute) around ON - Feb 27, Mar 6 & 7
  This band is the longest project I've had the pleasure of playing in (aside from my original trio), and is extremeley good and not-to-be-missed by Radiohead lovers.  Many dates coming up between now and the end of June all over Ontario, starting with (click HERE, dates or image for info):
